Patuakhali Sadar Upazila is a traditional upazila of Bangladesh. Many famous people were born here. People from different communities have been living in harmony here since time immemorial. At the same time the people of this upazila have been practicing healthy culture. The standard of living of the people here is quite high. This upazila has been doing business with different parts of the world since time immemorial and a significant number of people are living in different countries including Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Dubai and sending foreign remittances for the country, enriching the country's economy.
This upazila has immense potential in delivering government and non-government services to the doorsteps of the people through the maximum use of information technology.
